Shreveport Police are seeking the identities a person who reportedly fired shots and injured a local man Sunday.

At around 2:00 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the 4200 block of Linwood Avenue on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police learned an employee of a nearby tire shop had suffered minor injury to the hand by an apparent stray bullet. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives learned two cars, a grey Dodge sedan along with a red colored Dodge sedan, were headed south on Linwood Avenue approaching Corbitt Street when the grey vehicle pulled onto the parking lot of the tire shop.  Investigators gathered information suggesting the red vehicle stopped alongside Linwood Avenue and began firing rounds from a handgun toward the grey Dodge sedan.

It was during this time, the employee, who was standing outside the business, was hit. Following the shooting, both cars sped away from the scene. There were no other injuries reported.

Police are working at this hour to determine what led to the shooting and ask anyone with information about the crime to contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or on their website at www.lockemup.org
