Plane crashes at a McDonald's in Monroe

The Louisiana State Police, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office and Monroe Police Department are working the scene of an airplane crash. The plane went down in a McDonald's parking lot on Desiard Street in Monroe, LA.

According to the Quachita Parish Sheriff's Office, the plane is a v-tail single engine Bonanza. 

The pilot was reportedly the only one on board the plane at the time of the crash. He was air lifted to LSU Medical Center with moderate injuries. 

According to Louisiana State Police, no one on the ground was injured. 

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause of the crash.
