
Louisiana — With LSU playing Monday night, and New Year's Eve festivities, Louisiana State Police know drinking in inevitable, but they are demanding that people be responsible about it.
They have compiled a check list for a perfect New Year's eve... giving an easy hint as to their plans on the holiday evening.
A New Year’s Eve Checklist- From the Louisiana State Police
BATON ROUGE – A new year is soon upon us and it is important that we close out 2012 and start 2013 right by making safety a priority. As people across Louisiana prepare to celebrate New Year’s Eve, a safe and enjoyable evening starts with good planning. Make sure that you take the proper steps to get you and your family and friends home safely.
New Year’s Eve Checklist:
o Have a plan
o Buckle up and make sure all persons in your vehicle are buckled while on the road
o Watch LSU Tigers Win
o Enjoy New Year’s Eve festivities with family and friends
o Remember that impairment starts with ONE drink
o Don’t Drive Impaired. Designate a sober driver, call a cab, or stay where you are.
o If you travel on foot or by bicycle, wear bright clothing, be cognizant of traffic and travel safe.
o Start 2013 safe and healthy!
