Police detectives have arrested a local man following a domestic dispute that left him nursing a minor injury.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 25, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to LSUHSC in the 1500 block of Kings Highway relative to a man in the emergency room there suffering from a stab wound. Upon arrival, patrolmen contacted 23 year old Jebriel Davis who was receiving treatment for a non-life-threatening laceration to the left shoulder. Davis told them he had been stabbed during a domestic dispute at a home in the 1700 block of Hickory Street.

Detectives immediately responded and discovered Jebriel was visiting 31 year old Latosha Carmack, with whom he has been romantically involved, at her home there on Hickory Street when a dispute broke out between the two. According to information gathered by investigators, Davis was allegedly physically accosting Carmack when an eleven year old juvenile in the home armed himself with a knife and cut Davis on the left shoulder. Davis subsequently fled the home on foot and was later taken to the hospital in a private auto.

Authorities have charged Davis, of the 2000 block of Talbot Street in Shreveport, with one count of simple battery and he has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed against the juvenile.
