NEW ORLEANS, LA — UPDATE: Law enforcement revealed the surveillance video to the media on this afternoon. Investigators said they are looking for the man in the video and the woman. The man is a person of interest in the case. Investigators said they are looking for the woman and “fear for her safety.”

ORIGINAL STORY: Persons of interest have been identified in the case of a Louisiana woman whose body was found intentionally dismembered along the beach in Mississippi.

Law enforcement officers in two states are working together to identify the person or persons responsible for the death of Jaren Lockhart, 22.

Surveillance footage captured at the entrance of the club where Lockhart was last seen shows the young woman leaving with at least two individuals. The footage was obtained and processed by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, June 11. Today, they’re releasing those images.

“We’re in possession of surveillance video from the foyer of the club where she worked and we’re going to release them so everyone can see who these people are and possibly help identify them,” Glenn Grannan, Chief Investigator, said.

The torso of Jaren Lockhart was first discovered on the Mississippi beach in Bay St. Louis on Thursday, June 7 by a cleaning crew. The head, arms and legs were removed from the body and there were stab wounds to the chest. Preliminary forensics revealed that the limbs had been intentionally removed and that the torso washed ashore.

Lockhart was positively identified as the victim on Saturday, June 9 after her severed limbs, including her head, were also recovered in the water not too far from where the torso was found.

“They all match with the torso based on the tattoos on her body,” Grannan explained.

Lockhart was last seen in the early morning on Wednesday, June 6 at her place of employment located on the 300 block of Bourbon Street. She was reported missing the next day by her boyfriend after he was unable to contact her and became concerned.

Lockhart was the mother to one child.

If you have any information that could help investigators determine who Lockhart was last with you’re urged to contact the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office at (228) 466-6900 or the New Orleans Police Department at (504) 821-2222.
