Officials seeking alleged armed robber who shot ETX store clerk
Bowie County, Texas (KMSS) — The Bowie County Sheriff's Office is searching for an armed robber who shot a store clerk while trying to steal money.
Officials tell KETK, around 10:30 Tuesday night deputies were dispatched to a shooting at the Triple J located in the 4600 block of South Lake Drive.
When deputies arrived, they met with the store’s attendant Juliann Nouri. Nouri said as she was closing the store a young black male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants came in the store asking to buy a cigar. She went behind the counter and asked for his identification. When Nouri looked up, she saw this male was now holding a firearm in his hand. The suspect told Nouri to open the drawer and as she began to comply with the suspect’s demand, he suspect shot her.
The bullet passed through the left side of Nouri’s waist.
The suspect ran away from the store and has not been identified or located and Nouri was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
