Officials searching for missing man who walked out of assisted living facility
Shreveport, La — Authorities need your help to find an elderly man who apparently walked away from a west Shreveport assisted living facility this morning and has not been seen or heard from since.
At approximately 10:12 a.m. on July 31, 2012 Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to Heritage Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in the 9700 block of Mansfield Road relative to a missing person. Upon arrival, officers contacted staff members who reported 58 year old Will Lee Young, a resident of their facility, apparently walked away from the property around 9:00 a.m. this morning and has not been seen since.
Mr. Young, who is reportedly suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, is described as a black male, approximately five feet seven inches tall weighing about 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue and green striped shirt and blue jeans. Patrol officers and detectives have been in the area diligently searching for Mr. Young.
