Authorities are still searching for the vehicle that struck and killed a man early this morning in east Shreveport.
At approximately 4:01 a.m. on June 13, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Clyde Fant Parkway relative to a report of a person lying on the side of the road. Upon arrival, officers located 54 year old Timothy Aldridge, of Jackson, Mississippi, near the southbound lanes of travel just north of the Stoner Avenue exit ramp. Mr. Aldridge, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, appeared to have been struck by a vehicle.
Crash investigators immediately responded and subsequently were able to recover vehicle parts and pieces that were strewn along the shoulder of Clyde Fant Parkway where they believe the collision occurred. Based on preliminary information gathered during the early stages of their inquiry, detectives think the suspect vehicle is a newer model Honda, possibly a Pilot, that is silver in color. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger side headlight, fog light, grill area and the passenger-side mirror will be missing. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to call Shreveport Police crash investigators at 318-673-7255 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
