Officials from both side of the river search for a man possibly in the river
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — After hearing that a man might have been hit by a Kansas City Southern train and knocked into the Red River Wednesday night, local authorities resumed their search Thursday morning.
Bossier and Caddo Sheriff's Offices and Bossier City and Shreveport fire took to the water to begin searching for a possible victim. They used SONAR equipment to see if there was any signs of somebody in the water, and a K-9 unit trained to detect things in water too to a low-profile boat.
After hours of searching, Shreveport and Bossier Fire called off their searches, although they will start again if more details are found. Caddo and Bossier Sheriff's Offices are keeping to the search, combing up and down the shores of the river.
