Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — One of the newest members of the Red River District is now open for business.
The plan for The Cohab Foundation to move into the district has been in the works for 2 years. The new space will serve as a place for residents and small business owners to have a quiet place to work.
Officials say the business will also generate new traffic in the area.
“We are actually pressing the reset button on the red river district and i think we are one of the first people to move into the space and basically a lot more foot traffic," said Executive Director John Grindley.
The organization is currently working on phase two of the project, which will also include a community kitchen.
