A Bossier City man wanted for killing a woman last week in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood is behind bars this afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on July 24, 2012, 18 year old Rickey Williams surrendered to investigators at the Shreveport Police Complex. Williams was subsequently booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of second degree murder. His bond is set at $250,000. Williams is charged with the shooting death of 27 year old Jasmine Hall who was found shot once in the upper torso just after 10:30 p.m. on July 20, 2012, outside of a home in the 300 block of Boulevard Street. She was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department where she later died.

Based on information gathered during their ongoing inquiry, police believe 24 year old Brandon Reed, who is reported to be the husband of Jasmine Hall, was involved in a physical altercation with Williams allegedly regarding some aspect of a transaction involving the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics when Williams pulled out a handgun and fired the shot that struck the victim.
