Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — 89 high school seniors, from 14 different schools in Shreveport took over Independence Stadium for a luncheon hosted by Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover.
Many students get attention for the wrong reasons, and as what the mayor is calling "Shreveport's Best and Brightest", the mayor wanted these high school seniors to get the attention their hard work deserved.
Many of the students brought their parents to share in the the ceremony with them, as those parents looked on as their children's accomplishments were highlighted by Mayor Glover.
Some of the students will be staying in the area, and some going father away. Regardless of the futures, Mayor Glover reminded the students that they should look upon Shreveport as a launching pad for the rest of their lives.
