Three vehicles are involved in a major accident on westbound Interstate 20, near mile marker 27.

Louisiana State Police officials say at least one person has been flown to LSU Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

Traffic is being diverted onto US Highway 80, at the Haughton Fillmore Exit (Exit 33).

The eastbound side of the interstate is open at this time.
