Louisiana State Police are still searching the area for a man who led them on a chase this morning.

It was just around 11 Wednesday morning that a helicopter and K-9 units started searching an area of the woods near Camp Minden.

Just before 9am, LSP officers patrolling I-20 in in Bossier Parish tried to pull over a man who was driving a truck that had recent;y been reported stolen. The driver didn't pull over, leading police on a chase on the freeway.

The driver pulled off the freeway at Goodwill Road and started running on foot on Highway 80 near Syrup Mill Road.
Police saw him run into a wooded area, and quickly surrounded that area.

Even though they don't think the man is dangerous, LSP is putting all efforts into catching him. Police spokesperson Matt Harris explains why. "First off you got a stolen vehicle, that's a felony. To steal a vehicle, that's a felony. He committed another felony with aggravated flight. He almost hit a couple of units during the pursuit, and you don't know if he's running for anything else either, because we don't have a positive id on him."

The suspect is described as a white man with blond hair. He was last seen wearing shorts and a white tank top. Anybody who thinks they see this man should call *LSP.

Even though they do not think the suspect is dangerous, LSP is asking people not to approach the man if they come across him.
