Louisiana woman arrested for stealing from her workplace

A Louisiana woman is now behind bars after she was found in connection with the theft of kitchen equipment from a local business.

Just after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Shreveport Police officers were called to the Fairfield Place Bed and Breakfast which is located in the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue for a report of theft.

On arrival, officers made contact with the complainant who said several kitchen items of significant value had been taken from the home by an employee who was still on the premises.

Officers launched an investigation and gathered evidence linking Terri Bowen, 34, of Benton, Louisiana, to the thefts.

Bowen was employed at the business during the time the thefts occurred and was detained on scene for questioning surrounding her alleged involvement in the incident.

After interviews with investigators, it was found that Bowen had stolen the items from the home over tim and pawned a number of the pieces in exchange for cash.

Value of the items stolen, which included various pieces of silver, amounted to approximately $30,000.

Bowen was arrested and booked into Shreveport City Jail on charges of theft.

Authorities are now working to assist in the return of some of the stolen items.
