Sobriety checkpoint yields no drunk drivers

The Bossier City Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint over the weekend in the 5300 block of East Texas Street which resulted in no DWI arrests.

Tankers caught fire at natural gas well site

Huge plumes of smoke poured out of a west Shreveport natural gas well site Friday afternoon.  It took Caddo and Shreveport fire crews hours to put out the flames at the Chesapeake Energy site.

Crews were able to put out the fire at around 2:45 p.m. Friday. A KMSS reporter says 8 vehicles that caught fire were pump trucks used to pump water at the well.
