It Is The First Tuesday In May Which Means It Is Officially National High School Voter Registration Day. Millions Of High School Seniors Are Encouraged To Make The Lifelong Commitment To Vote. The Caddo Parish School District Has Participated In Registration Day Program For The Past 5 Years. 50 Percent Of Caddo Seniors Registered To Vote Last Year While The National Average Is Only 10 Percent.

Voter Registration Is The Gateway To Better Civic Participation. It Is Not Just About Registering And Supporting A Candidate, Its Not About That At All, It Is Really About Being Involved In Your Community. And This Is One Of The Things We Believe That Get People Involved.
Caddo Magnet Students Say They Are Not Registering Because Their Parents Told Them To, But Instead Because They Want To Have A Voice In The Election.

The Slogan For Registration Day Is Today We Study History And Tomorrow We Make It. Jackson Says He Knows That The Students In Caddo Will Make A Difference

These Kids Realize That This Is The Adults Way Of Saying To Them You Are Now Stepping Into Adulthood And This Is The Way To Do It, By Becoming A Productive Citizen.
