Crime Stoppers Has Proven To Be Successful Yet Again. About 10:00 Monday Morning, Officers Received A Tip About Narcotics Being Sold Out Of A Home In The 3800 Block Of Jackson Street. The Tipster Was Able To Give Officers A Detailed Description Of The Home And The Vehicle.
Shreveport P.D. Officer Lauzon Said, "Upon Making Contact, We Heard Loud Music Coming From The Vehicle. The Driver Of The Vehicle Was A Tenant And Gave Consent To Go In The House. Upon Doing So I Did Smell Marijuana."
Upon Further Investigation, S.P.D. Located Three Other Residents And A Large Amount Of What Turned Out To Be Crack Cocaine, Totaling About $400.
This Is Not The First Time Officers Have Been Called Out To The House, But It Is The First Time An Arrest Has Been Made. Officers Say It Is Due Solely To The Citizen Who Called In The Invaluable Information Allowing Officers To Act Quickly.
Jim Taliaferro With Crimestoppers, Said "Narcotics Tips Are Notorious For Long Periods Of Time Between When The Tip Was Submitted And The Time That An Arrest Was Made."
But That Wasn't The Case Here. And All Four Suspects Are Now Charged With Possession Of Narcotics With Intent To Sell.
