Shreveport, La — State Representative Barbara Norton has been coming to LSU Medical Center for as long as she can remember, and there is no doubt in her mind that, for the good of the people, the hospital needs to remain public.
She isn't the only one that feels this way. Union leaders are also worried how privatization could effect the 99%.
Friday, Norton sent a letter to the Attorney General, asking to stop any potential sale of the hospital. She has also issued a petition to her colleagues, asking to convene a special session, at no cost to the people or state, to discuss this issue.
