Lakeshore Elementary School evacuated after gas leak

The gas leak has been stopped and an "ALL CLEAR" has been given to Lakeshore Elementary School. Students have been allowed to return to their regular classrooms.

Fire officials believe the leak was caused from nearby construction. Shreveport Police are conducting an investigation to ensure proper procedure was followed at the construction sight.


Lakeshore Elementary School has been evacuated after a gas leak was discovered inside the school.

Some houses in the area have been cleared out as well.

Center Point Energy is on scene, along with the local fire department, investigating the leak.
