Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — A joint narcotics investigation leads to the arrest and seizure of drugs, cars, and cash.
On June 20, 2013, agents with Shreveport resident office of the DEA concluded a six month investigation into a large scale cocaine organization operating in the Stoner Hill area of Shreveport.
Earlier this month on June 14, 2013, agents found three narcotics related search warrants at residences located in the 200 block of Wichita Street, 1800 block of Viking Drive, and the 7300 block of Timberview Street in Shreveport.
During the searches at these locations, authorities found and seized more than 1.5 kilograms of both powder and crack cocaine, approximately $12,000, three vehicles, and three arrests were made.
Those that were identified as Recardoz Wilson, 31, LaDerek Johnson, 22, and Alvin Brooks, 51.
The arrests of the three men sparked a continuing investigation to further identify assets and currency the organization had come from the illegal sales of narcotics. The investigation led officers to issue a search warrant at a home that was located in the 300 block of East College Street in Shreveport's Stoner Hill neighborhood, where and additional $130,000 in cash was seized along with a vehicle.
Agents also arrested to the mother of Recardoz Wilson, Carolyn Wilson, 50, of Shreveport. An additional $190,000 in cash was also found from a safety deposit box at a local financial institution.
The money was also tied to this organization.
