Home invasion suspect surrenders

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested the sixth and final suspect in connection with the January 16th staged home invasion, and armed robbery of two people at a residence in the 200 block of Cedar Grove Drive in the Cedar Grove Sub-Divison, south of Natchitoches according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

For the past week, NPSO Deputies had been interviewing individuals and following up on leads in identifying the final suspect in the investigation, according to Sheriff Jones.

As a result deputies identified the suspect and established probable cause to secure criminal warrants signed by a Tenth Judicial District Judge.

On Saturday night, NPSO Deputies searched several locations in the Natchitoches area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Deputies then featured the suspect on several media outlets, social media and the sheriff’s office website requesting the public’s assistance.

On Sunday at approximately 12:00pm, Jermaine Michael LaCour, 19 of the 100 block of Beverly Rise, Natchitoches, La., accompanied by a family member turned himself in to Natchitoches Parish Deputies at the Natchitoches Parish courthouse.

LaCour, was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 2-counts of Armed Robbery, 2-counts of Armed Robbery with a Gun, 2-counts of Aggravated Second Degree Battery, and 1-count of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.

LaCour is awaiting a bond hearing.

Five suspects are currently incarcerated at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center in connection with the investigation.
