Hit-and-run suspect turns self in to Shreveport police
The man police believe struck and killed a pedestrian this morning in east Shreveport has surrendered to authorities.
Just before 8:30 p.m. on June 13, 2012, Shreveport Police crash investigators were notified 34-year-old Tam Duy Hoang was at the Shreveport City Jail wanting to turn himself in for his role in the hit and run crash that killed 54-year-old Timothy Aldridge this morning in the 1900 block of Clyde Fant Parkway. Police also seized a silver 2011 Honda Pilot Hoang was allegedly driving when the crash occurred.
Investigators charged Hoang, of the 700 block of Neal Drive in Shreveport, with one count of felony hit and run and he was subsequently booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
