SHREVEPORT, LA (KMSS) — It was a sold-out room full of I-bowl supporters at the Shreveport Convention Center on Wednesday afternoon as guest speaker Emmitt Smith and FOX news sportscaster Tim Brando reflected over Smith's football career from high school to the pro's.
Smith said it's an honor to be apart of the Duck Commander I-bowl, while representing the southeast region.
"I'm proud of the fact that they thought about me and have given me a chance to come in and do what we did today. I had a lot of fun listening at what Tim Brando and I had to say," said Smith.
The Duck Commander Independence Bowl is set for Saturday, December 27 with kickoff time at 3 p.m.
This will be the first time in 24 years that the game is played on the weekend.
