Gunman robs Shreveport hotel in early morning hours

Officials are looking for a man who robbed a west Shreveport hotel Thursday morning.

Police tell KMSS it happened around 1:39 a.m. in the 4900 block of Monkhouse Drive at the Super 8.

Witnesses tell investigators that an armed man entered the hotel, confronted the clerk and demand money at gunpoint. The gunman was given an undisclosed amount of cash and ran from the scene.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid-twenties, 5' 7", last seen wearing a gray button-up shirt and dark jeans. He has a tattoo of the name “Jason” on the right side of his neck and a chipped front tooth.
