The Shreveport Police Department is currently working to determine the gunman in a weekend shooting that left two people injured.

At around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 8500 block of Elmview Place. When patrolmen arrived, they found Bessie Jordan, 31,  suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and Louis Grant, Jr., 34, suffering from a grazing bullet wound to the abdomen. Both victims were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Detectives discovered there was a large party going on at the house when a dispute erupted.  Moments later, a man driving a gray or silver car, drove by the home and fired multiple shots, hitting the victims. The gunman left the scene before authorities arrived.

Investigators have interviewed numerous witnesses and are working at this hour to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for this shooting. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or www.lockemup.org
