It was still light out when eager Grey Thursday shoppers started lining up outside the Target on Youree Drive in Shreveport.

For many of them, spending hours in line to get door buster deals has become a family tradition, something that they look forward to every year.

This year's hot item at Target was a 50 inch television for just over $200. Target had only 47 of them, but that didn't keep hundreds from optimistically waiting in line.

Many of this year's shoppers made friends with their line mates, cracking jokes and playing games. Target management was pleased to report, that just like last year, there were no problems, and people were friendly and excited.

Even still, minutes before opening, management came outside to remind people that running and shoving would not be allowed.

When 8pm finally rolled around, the doors opened and customers started cheering, while walking inside in an orderly manner.
