Fists turn into bullets in west Shreveport overnight, 3 arrested
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Three men, one of whom was wounded, face charges while three victims are recovering from injuries incurred in a shooting last night in west Shreveport.
Just before midnight, Shreveport Police were called to the 3200 block of Fulton Street in response to a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found three victims, identified as 36-year-old Shonda Harris, 44-year-old Anthony Moore and 44-year-old Tommie Johnson, each suffering at least one gunshot wound. All were taken to a nearby hospital for serious injuries.
Based on information and other evidence gathered at the scene of the crime, discovered the victims were present at a party at a home on Fulton Street when a fight broke out involving party-goers and a man identified as 36-year-old Jamie Lane.
Following the altercation, Lane left the home only to return a short time later with several other people.
The fight between Lane and Johnson intimately led to gunfire. Lane was shot in the chest during the shooting but he left the home, only to be found at a residence in the 2500 block of Merwin Street a short time later.
Lane was taken to a area hospital by the Shreveport Fire Department. He is expected to recover.
Investigators subsequently arrested Jamie Lane, 19-year-old Antonio Lane, and 20-year-old Tavious Lane, all of Shreveport.
All of the men have been charged with one count of attempted first degree murder, but may face other charges as the investigation continues. Antonio Lane and Tavious Lane were both booked into the Shreveport City Jail while Jamie Lane is still in the hospital and will be booked into the Shreveport City Jail upon his release from the hospital.
