Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — The Expressway Grocery on Alabama Street in Shreveport's Queensborough neighborhood can't catch any breaks.
Minutes after closing on Monday, at around 9:20, the store caught fire. Shreveport Fire Department was quickly on the scene, and was able to put it out in less than an hour. After investigating, they determined that the fire was started by a problem with one of the beer coolers.
Nobody was hurt in the fire, but this isn't the first bad thing to happen at this store. In October, the owner was shot during an armed robbery attempt.
