Fingerprints link jail bird to additional crime
Shreveport, La (KMSS) — A fingerprint found at the scene of a burglary has a convicted criminal in trouble with the law again.
Back on February 14, police were dispatched to the 5900 block of West Canal Street, due to a silent alarm being triggered. When police arrived on scene, they found a locked storage facility behind a home that had its window busted out and items missing from inside.
Detectives were able to lift fingerprints from the scene that matched those of Marcus Yearling, 28, of Shreveport.
Authorities credit in part, the lifting of fingerprints from the scene of a crime with the arrest of 28 year old Marcus Yearling of Shreveport on today.
Yearling, who is already in the Shreveport City Jail on other charges, was also charged with one count of simple burglary.
