Federal authorities searched the home of a Texas man in connection with threatening letters sent to President Obama and the Mayor of New York.

Preliminary tests on the two letters tested positive for the deadly poison ricin.

A third letter that was sent to the White House is still being tested as this time.

All three letters were postmarked in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Chairman of the Shreveport City Council had many things to say about the investigations link to New Boston, Texas.

"There is someone they are interviewing in New Boston. The letters did have Shreveport postmarks. This was a person that...I don't think any charges have been filed...but the FBI is interrogating him and looking into his background at this time."

Two law enforcement officials told CNN that FBI agents who interviewed the Texas man after his wife told authorities she found suspicious containers in their New Boston home.

But one of those two officials say there were questions about the credibility of what the man's wife told authorities.
