Detectives have arrested a local man in connection with a home invasion, where a woman was injured in north Shreveport.

Just before 9:00 p.m. on Monday, officers were called to a home in the 200 block of St. Luke Street on reports of a home invasion.  When officers arrived at the scene, they talked to a woman who said her estranged husband showed up while visiting with friends. The husband then began to chase her on foot until she escaped him by running into a nearby home.

The victim stated her husband, Marques Dorsey, 35, kicked in the door, made entry inside the house and began to attack her. Following the onslaught, he ran from the area. The woman was treated on scene for minor injuries.

Since the incident, officers assigned to the case were successful in reaching Dorsey, who surrendered to authorities at police headquarters just before 9:00 Friday morning.

Following interviews with Dorsey, he was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of criminal damage to property, home invasion, along with four unrelated traffic warrants.
