Bossier City, La (KMSS) — Officials from the NLEP Regional Economic Caravan met in Bossier City to give an update on the region's economy.
Some of the things at the top of the list were Benteler Steel and the progress at Bossier Parish Community College.
"North Louisiana has been very strong in the manufacturing sector historically and I see us being well positioned especially with things like the manufacturing development center at Bossier Parish Community College. We can address some of those higher skill sets that are now needed in manufacturing," said NELP President Scott Martinez.
The meeting is part of NLEP’s Regional Caravan series. NLEP board members and staff travel throughout the 14 parishes to meet with local elected officials and community and business leaders to engage them in economic development efforts.
