The jumbo-tron at Independence Stadium wasn't working during the past weekend's Battle on the Border football event, but not because of a computer glitch. Stadium officials spent hours trying to determine what they problem was, finally seeing the copper wiring that helps run the score board had been stolen.

So far, there are not any suspect, persons of interest, or even a date when the wiring was stolen. However, the Shreveport Parks and Recreation was able to narrow the time frame to sometime in the past few weeks. During the last event held at the stadium, just a few weeks ago, the jumbotron had been working.

Anybody with information on this theft is asked to call Shreveport-Caddo Crimestoppers at 318.673.7373
