Clippers' owner banned from league for life after alleged racist comments

On Tuesday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned Los Angeles Clippers Owner Donald Sterling from the league.

Silver also fined Sterling the league maximum, $2.5 million. The commissioner also stated he will push for a sale of the team and would do everything in his power to make it hapen.

The ban will keep Sterling from games, practices and going to Clippers facilities.

According to CNN, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said Tuesday that Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling acknowledged to Silver that "it was his voice on the tape." After being asked whether Sterling had anything else to say, Silver said he "has not expressed to me, directly, any other views."

Dallas Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban tweet his approval of the actions taken against Sterling: "I agree 100% with Commissioner Silvers [sic] and the actions taken against Donald Sterling."
