SHREVEPORT, La. (KMSS) — After months of searching for options, Caddo Parish officials say there is finally a permanent solution for Wells Island Road residents.
Residents who can't afford to convert to well water will receive assistance from the parish to be connected back to the city's water system. That would give residents that are currently on a well water system the chance to stay on that system.
The project is expected to cost the parish around $10,000 to reconnect the water lines back to the water system.
Residents have been facing water woes since last December when Analytical Logging neglected to pay the City of Shreveport over $24,000 in water usage.
