CNN — We hope Leonardo DiCaprio's an Apple fan.
The actor is reportedly a favorite pick for the role of Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic about the deceased Apple co-founder that's coming from Sony Pictures.
Initially David Fincher was on board to direct the feature, but that changed earlier this month when The Hollywood Reporter learned the celebrated filmmaker had departed the project.
Now, THR reports, it's "Slumdog Millionaire" helmer Danny Boyle who's in talks to take the reins, and he'd love to make a Steve Jobs movie starring perennial Oscar nominee DiCaprio.
It sounds like whomever gets the part will have some solid material to work with; Sony's Jobs biopic has Aaron Sorkin crafting the screenplay and Scott Rudin producing. The movie will be based on Walter Isaacson's 2011 biography, "Steve Jobs."
