NEW ORLEANS, LA — On the football field there’s more bad news for the Saints. But the now 0-4 black and gold say they're heading in the right direction.
For the second straight week New Orleans blew a late lead. For the first time since 2007 the Saints find themselves without a win four games into the season. That same year, the Saints reeled off 4 straight wins to get back to 500.
“It stinks,” Drew Brees said. “But I know the type of guys we have. I know the direction we're headed, and it's all very positive. And so despite where we are right now, I believe this team's going to do something."
Interim Head Coach Aaron Kromer says they're close, but have to find a way to slam the door.
"It’s going to hurt when you lose a game like this, but I will not let them get down,” he said. “We are too close. We are two games in a row - we are too close to not win these games."
