Shriners Hospital has been hosting a week long summer camp for pre-teen girls with spina bifida.

Girls ages 10-14 have been learning everything from living independently to boarding public transportation vehicles. Spina bifida is a developmental congenital disorder caused by the incomplete closing of the embryonic neural tube.

This was the first year for the camp at the hospital.
