Shreveport LA (KMSS) — Earlier this week Caddo Commissioners agreed on most of the budget but one measure has them in a deadlock.
The Commission is currently trying to come to terms on a 2.5 million dollar construction project for the Dawson Creek area.
Commissioner Ken Epperson says the project is needed to help with the recent issues residents have been facing in the area.
"This is an issue of safety, this is an issue of economic development and this is an issue of quality of life," said Epperson.
If the measure is not resolved and a budget is not finalized, the Caddo Parish Government could shut down as early as July of next year.
