Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport police are on a manhunt this evening looking for at least three men they believe are responsible for burglarizing a business early this morning.
Around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to a Texaco station in the 5900 block of Youree Drive.
When authorities arrived on scene the front doors to the store were rammed in. Inside the store there was more damage along with the store's ATM machine missing.
Police later found an abandoned vehicle on the parking lot of the business and officers believe it was used to get into the store.
Looking at surveillance tape the men could be seen using the vehicle to ram into the building and moments later the men were seen removing the ATM.
The vehicle began to experience mechanical problems at which time the suspects left the ATM in the parking lot returning a short time later in a second vehicle to take the stolen ATM.
The suspects fled the scene.
Officers later found the second vehicle abandoned near another crime scene near a wooded area on St. Matthais Drive.
Both vehicles were stolen some time during the night after a burglary at the Roundtree Ford Dealership on the 8700 block of Business Park Drive. Both vehicles have been impounded as evidence.
It is unclear at this point if any other vehicles were stolen.
Shreveport Police are asking for anyone with any information about these crimes to call Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
