MANSFIELD, La (KMSS) — A jury is sequestered in Mansfield, awaiting the start of the Brian Horn trial. There is a jury of 12, with 3 alternates, all coming from East Baton Rouge Parish. They were brought up north Wednesday afternoon, and checked into a hotel where they will stay for the duration of the trial.
The trial is scheduled to start Friday at 9:30am at the DeSoto Parish Courthouse in Mansfield.
Horn is facing charges of kidnapping and first degree murder. He's accused of posing as a teenage girl online to lure 12 year old Justin Bloxom into his cab. From there, authorities believe Horn kidnapped and then murdered the pre-teen in March of 2010.
After searching for several days, Bloxom's body was found in a shallow pool of water just off Mansfield Road, near Stonewall.
