BPCC racing for a cause

The Bossier Parish Community College is hosting a unique and creative event to help those who might can't afford college.

The school will take part in an upcoming go-cart race next Saturday from 8am until 4pm. Money raised will go to support students who are experiencing difficulty paying for college.

Saturday, September 14
8:00 am Division Races
10:45 am Division Cup Championship
11:15 am Throw Down Races
12:15 pm Lunch Break / Track and Pits open to public
Visit Food Vendors in the Brookshire’s Food Court
1:30 pm Johnny Wyatt Memorial Cup
2:15 pm Sponsor’s Cup
3:00 pm Main Event: Champions Shoot-Out
4:00 pm BHP Billiton Trophy Presentations

Event chairman this year is Tom Glass. BPCC Chancellor Jim Henderson will serve as the official host for the event, and Billy Wayne Montgomery will serve as the Grand Marshal. The event is FREE to the public and is fun for the entire family.

This is a wonderful event with something for everyone. It even has a Kids Pit Stop Fun area (inside), cool-off stations (inside) and food and drink vendors, not to mention those GO-KART races. AND IT' S FREE!
