Northwest Louisiana (KMSS) — New opportunities are on the horizon for students from Bossier Parish Community College and Northwest Louisiana Technical College.
Leaders of the two schools signed a cross-enrollment agreement today.
Starting this summer, students at both colleges can now sign up for courses at the two institutions.
BPCC's Chancellor Jim Henderson says this benefits students in several ways.
"It provides more pathways for them to get more credits. it provides access to various coursework we both offer and it give them more access to student financial aide when they're trying to navigate those pathways to better employment."
BPCC has 8500 students and Northwest has 3000 over their 7 parish region.
Both colleges expect their enrolment numbers to grow with this agreement.
