Bossier Sheriff's Office seeking owner of black cow

The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for the owner of a black cow that was found running loose in the Benton area.

The cow was found on Linton Bellevue Road near Crouch Road on Friday, February 21.

After proper identification of the cow, the owner must pay the Bossier Sheriff's Office for the cost of care, custody and control before the animal will be released.

The owner has until March 7, 2014 to claim the cow before it will be sold at a public auction.
