Bossier Sheriff's Office: Burglars steal expensive farm equipment
Bossier — Bossier Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding person(s) who stole farm equipment from a barn in Plain Dealing this past week.
According to Deputy Josh Cagle, burglars broke into a barn in the 1000 block of Hwy 537 some time between June 30 and July 8. The thieves backed their vehicles up to the barn, where the equipment was already loaded on trailers, hooked up the trailers and left with the equipment.
Cagle said a green 2003 John Deere Model 894 8-row corn header valued at $25,000 was taken. They also snagged a red and yellow New Holland Model 320 hay baler valued at $1,500 and a John Deere water pump, used for irrigation, valued at $1,000.
Detectives ask anyone with information about the stolen farm equipment to contact the Bossier Crime Stoppers at 424-4100, the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Crime Stoppers at 1-800-558-9741 or Detective Charlie Myrick of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office at 965-2203.
