The Bossier School System is celebrating after seeing some improvements system wide.

According to a recent report from The Louisiana Department of Education, the school system was ranked among the top ten when it came to academic performance. Back in 2012, the system was ranked 16th in the entire state.

“We are very excited and very pleased with the accomplishments that our students and our teachers and educators have made in bringing us into the top ten in the State of Louisiana," said Superintendent D.C. Machen.

Some schools across the system also saw some of the largest gains in the region.
