
SHREVEPORT, La. — Bossier schools have been chosen by the Louisiana Department of Education to receive $350,000 from Believe and Include, a $4 million competitive grant program to help students in the classroom with disabilities. Bossier is one of only 16 districts in the state to be awarded this grant.
Sonja Bailes, spokeswoman for the school system said that "the system is very excited to receive funding especially with christmas coming up".
John White, Superintendent of the Louisiana Department of Education, will be at Benton Middle School on Monday, December 17, at 12:30 p.m. to formally award the Believe and Include grant money
