Bossier Parish Sheriff, Julian Whittington, along with Bossier Sheriff's Office and Bossier City Police Department have rounded up nearly three dozen drug violators in the unrelated cases during their Operation Summer Sweep Tuesday.

"Our officers on the Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force did a superb job in capturing 32 persons, most of whom were wanted on felony drug charges of possession and distribution of cocaine, marijuana, and meth," said Whittington. "Operation Summer Sweep was a joint effort to clean up the streets of Bossier Parish, and the end-of-summer roundup shows that we will not tolerate those who want to infest our neighborhoods and children with drugs."

Bossier City Police Chief, Shane McWilliams, says that the arrests are a great example of how combining the efforts of the police officers with deputies are making a huge impact in the community of illegal drugs.
