Bossier City toddler drowns in family swimming pool
A family is without their 13-month-child after she accidentally drowned in the backyard pool.
Bossier City Police officers responded at around 1 p.m. to reports of a drowning on the 2200 block of Belle Grove Drive.
Officials tell KMSS the child’s mother, who was home at the time of the incident, did not realize that the little girl had ventured out into the backyard. When she noticed the child was missing, she found her in the family pool. The mother called 911 and began CPR.
The toddler was revived three minutes later by the Bossier City Fire Department who continued CPR and took the child to a local hospital. She was later pronounced dead.
No names have been released out of respect for the family. No charges have been filed and the case is still currently under investigation by the Bossier City Police.
